In the framework of the Asia-Link project DEVHAS, the Research Centre Vergelijkende Cultuurwetenschap intends to develop expertise on the problem of Culture and Management. Therefore, my research focuses on the interaction between management practices and cultural differences. Both in contemporary literature and in interviews with managers, I examine the kinds of questions which are raised and the answers which are given on problems of cultural differences in the field of management theory. I hope to develop an approach to the problem of Culture and Management, based on the insights into the nature of cultural difference which the research programme Vergelijkende Cultuurwetenschap has already produced.
